Our role and the practice's role

VivraMed is the tool medical practices use to run their calendar, patients and online bookings. The two sides have different roles: the practice decides why and how its patients' clinical data is processed, VivraMed processes it on their behalf by providing the platform.

A precise description of the two roles and of the controller-processor relationship is to be completed before final publication.

What we collect when you book online

The booking form asks only for what it takes to set and confirm the appointment:

  • first and last name;
  • email address, also used for the verification code that confirms the booking;
  • phone number, for reminders and so the practice can get back to you;
  • any notes you write and the answers to the questions the practice added to the form;
  • the doctor, service, location, date and time you picked.

Why we process this data and on what legal basis

  • ask for its erasure or for the processing to be restricted;
  • object to the processing in the cases provided for by law;
  • receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format, or have it transferred to another controller;
  • withdraw a consent already given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
